Burning Restrictions
Rules for Juniper Flat Rural Fire Protection District and/or Oregon Department of Forestry dual protection areas within the District:

The Wasco County burn ban is in effect as of June 11, 2023.
- The JFRFPD will respond to all smoke.
- Oregon Department of Forestry requires Burning Permits year round for all fires in lands under Oregon Department of Forestry protection, In our district, these are lands west of mile post 17.5 on highway 216, which includes the areas in and around the community of Pine Grove. Land owners in these areas should contact ODF to make sure they follow the proper Burning and Smoke Management Guidelines and Burning Regulations. ODF permits are valid only to the end of the year and can be renewed or requested through the local ODF office at (541) 296-4626.
