Heavy Brush 2

Heavy Brush 2 was built in-house by JFRFPD on a 1984 military M923 5-ton, 6x6 chassis.  It has a 1700 gallon tank, a 24 HP pump that drives 5 independent bumper nozzles and a front monitor mounted near the drivers door, all controlled from the cab.  Heavy Brush 2 is based in the eastern part of Juniper Flat at Station 2.  It is one of the new (for JFRFPD) generation of trucks designed to combat the larger, fast-running fires expected in the future.
