Engine 6 is a 1977 GMC 6500 2x4 gas powered truck with a 600 gallon tank, a PTO pump and a retrofitted auxiliary pump. Technically it is a Type 3 engine. Engine 6 was acquired through the FEPP program and is housed in a side building at Station 1. It was modified to have front bumper nozzles and a monitor, all controlled from the cab. It is equipped with a 1 1/2" quick lay hose with additional hose packs and lateral packs, a blitz attack preconnected 1 1/2" line and two reels with 3/4" lines.
